5 Things You Need to Know Today: Oct. 13

1. Drizzle Fizzle: According to the National Weather Service, today will be Cloudy, with a high near 66 degrees. There will be an east wind between 6 and 8 mph. Drizzles and showers will continue throughout the day and into the night. This evening will be cloudy with a low around 63 degrees and a south wind between 10 and 14 mph.

2. Golfball: Love golfing? Love football? Head over to the Deal Golf and Country Club today for the Second Annual RFH Touchdown Club Bulldog Golf Invitational.  All funds raised go towards the development and promotion of the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Football Program, RFH Pop Warner and flag football programs in the Rumson-Fair Haven area. There will be a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m.

4. Dawgs Get Stung: The (RFH) Boys Soccer lost by one goal against the Holmdel Hornets last night. Holmdel avenged its only loss of the season by beating RFH 1-0 in double overtime on October 11 for the Shore Conference Class A Central Title. Click to see video and photos from the game.

5. High, Low: Both Rumson and Fair Haven have newly adopted ordinances stating their desire for a low-lying replacement for the Oceanic Bridge. Although they already had ordinances in place that stated their wants, they were over 4 years old.
