1. Beautiful Day, Gloomy Night: According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 62 degrees and a southeast wind between 3 and 9 mph. Tonight will be cloudy with a low around 53 degrees. There is a chance of rain or drizzle and patchy fog after 1am. There will be a southeast wind between 3 and 7 mph.

2. Election Day: Votes have been tallied and results are in. In , Republicans have scored a clean sweep, re-electing John E. Ekdahl for mayor as well as Shaun P. Broderick and Benjamin W. Day, Jr. for council. In , Jerome Koch, Republican, reclaimed his seat on the borough council and newcomer Susan Sorenson, Republican, has filled the open seat left by Councilman James Banahan. 3. Results Are In: In county government, Republicans claimed Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Surrogate races. Click for details. Republicans also swept NJ Legislative races in Monmouth County. Click to read more about these races.

4. Sports Betting: Voters approved a statewide referendum Tuesday that will change the state constitution to enable the legalization of gambling on professional and certain college sporting events -- but only if a current federal ban is overturned. 5. Row 4A Reason: On November 2nd, after many weather delays, varsity members from the RFH Crew team set out on the Navesink River to "Row 4A Reason". Members rowed extremely long distances to raise money for the LADACIN Network, a non-profit agency whose mission is to provide education, therapeutic, social, residential, and support services for people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.
