5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 31

A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Under My Umbrella: According to the National Weather Service, today will be cloudy, with a high near 44. Rain is likely mainly after 2pm. The rain is expected to continue into the night becoming breezy, with a northeast wind around 22 mph. Stop by in Fair Haven to get a nice, hot cup of coffee to wake you up and warm your bones on this damp day.

2. Lock Your Doors: Did you lock your car last night? Think about what is lying on the dashboard or in your glove compartments. Would you miss it if it was gone in the morning? According to an e-mail sent to Fair Haven residents from the borough, 30 unlocked vehicles were entered early Monday morning between 2:00-6:45 a.m. Whoever entered the cars stole loose change, personal credentials, jewelry and credit cards. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact Detective Dykstra at 732-747-0241 Ext. 332 right away.
