1. Bad Hair Day: Don't forget the umbrella when you leave the house today. The National Weather Service says there will be heavy rain and some wind throughout the day and into the night. Highs will reach around 48 degrees with the low not to far at 44.

2. Hoops Give Hope: The Rumson Country Day School is hosting their annual . This yearly fundraiser is a two-day basketball tournament held on March 11th and 12th. The proceeds of the event go directly to funding the summer program for the children, who are mostly from neighboring Red Bank. Rally a couple of friends together to play and enter for a fun weekend for a good cause. Age brackets for the tournament range from 6th graders the the 40+ group.

3. No Smoking in Rumson Parks: At, members unanimously approved an ordinance to prohibit smoking in Rumson parks. Following New York Mayor Bloomberg’s motion last month, Mayor John E. Ekdahl stated fines would be established for violators. The ordinance was suggested by a Rumson student in a “well-written letter,” which Mayor Ekdahl took to heart.

4. A Spin on What's Cool: Most moms still think they’ve got their finger on the pulse of the younger generation. So imagine the surprise when one Patch mom finds herself fairly offended in a spin class and becomes genuinely worried about the lyrics of today’s most popular songs on the radio.
