5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 6

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Sun and Showers: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 74 degrees. There is a slight chance of showers throughout the day. The night is expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees. 

2. Sale for Hunger: On Saturday, (BH&G)  hosted a yard sale called "Clean Out for Kids". All the proceeds raised from the sale will go to an organization called Share Our Strength. The progam's mission is to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. Click to read about how much they raised.

3. Small Factory, Big Fun:  Small Factory Productions in Fair Haven held a BIG FUN Open House on Saturday June 4th. It was an opportunity for the public to experience some of the programs that Small Factory offers. 4. Summer Lovin': The weather keeps getting warmer, the countdown until the end of school keeps getting shorter and residents continue to get ready to kick off the summer in Rumson and Fair Haven right. 5. Down on the River: Missed all the fun happening down River Rd. at Riverfest this weekend? Click to watch a video and feel like you were there! The annual free event made a comeback after a 10-year hiatus. It was sponsored by the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and featured top restaurants from the area offering their signature dishes. Activities, rides, and live music from a large assortment of regional talent made this event perfect for the entire family.
