Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Rainy with a Chance: According to the National Weather Service, today will be filled with rain and clouds with a high near 44 degrees and a calm wind becoming southeast between 6 and 9 mph. Tonight, the rain will continue with a low around 42 degrees and a south wind between 8 and 11 mph.

2. Slow Down: Drivers heading past are being asked to slow down. Residents on Kemp Ave. came to the meeting to ask for the speed limit on their road to be changed from 25 to 20 mph. Click here for details and vote whether or not the speed should change.

5. Purple Pride: "A Night of Hoops," featuring the vs. Holmdel High School boys basketball team in a division playoff, will be held on Thursday at 6:15 pm at the Holmdel High School main gym. Let's go Dawgs!
