1. Gusty Clouds: According to the National Weather Service, showers will continue in the morning. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 44 degrees and a bit windy with a west wind between 28 and 33 mph including gusts as high as 48 mph. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 28 degrees. It will be breezy with a west wind between 17 and 24 mph.

2. Earthy Scholar: For the second year, the Rumson Garden Club has a scholarship up for grabs. The scholarship is available for a student who has shown interest in any area of horticulture, landscape design, or environmental studies including conservation, marine sciences, or earth science. 3. Savvy Saturday: The Saturday at in Fair Haven the motto is "The more the savvier!" The store is offering 50 percent off just for showing up, and an additional 2 percent off for each girlfriend you bring along. If you've got enough room in your car for 5, that's worth an additional 10 percent.

5. Lawn Laws: Last year, Governor Chris Christie signed the most restrictive fertilizer content standards for nitrogen and phosphorus in the nation into law. Additionally, the law demands that fertilizer be applied at specific times during the year. These requirements are aimed at reducing pollution from nutrients in all of New Jersey’s waters.
