Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Rain Likely: The National Weather Service forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of rain Tuesday afternoon. The high for the day will be near 51 degrees and the overnight low will be around 40. Winds will be between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Winter Conditioning Program: Rumson-Fair Haven Rowing is holding a women’s masters winter conditioning program for area residents. All experience levels are welcome. The program will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday mornings at a time to be announced from Jan. 16 through March 24. Training will include indoor rowing on Concept 2 Indoor Rowers at the Fair Haven Youth Center, 35 Fisk St.. The cost is $75.

3. Garbage Pickup: Trash will be picked up in all zones of Fair Haven on Tuesday.

4. Government Meeting: The Fair Haven Historic Commission will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall.

5. Bulldog Christmas Classic: boys basketball will host Emily Fisher Academy on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the first round of the Bulldog Christmas Classic Basketball Tournament. The tournament will include singing and shooting contests, Santa and elves, prizes and more.
