5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 26

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Sunny and Breezy: The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast calls for Monday to be sunny and breezy with a high of 46. Winds will be between 16 to 20 mph. Monday night will be cloudy with winds between five and seven mph, according to the NWS.

2. Garbage Pick-up: The garbage pick-up schedule in both Rumson and Fair Haven will be affected by the holidays this year. In Rumson, there will be no garbage pick-up on Monday, Dec. 26 or Jan. 2 due to the federal holidays. All residents will have to wait to put out their trash until Thursday of those weeks. In Fair Haven, there will be no pick-up the day after Christmas as well, but all zones will be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

3. Government Offices Closed: and offices will be closed Monday in observance of the Christmas holiday. The Fair Haven Library will also be closed. Mail service will resume Tuesday, Dec. 27.
