1. TGIF: According to the National Weather Sevice, this lovely Friday during the peak of the holiday season will be breezy and sunny with a high near 51 degrees and a west wind between 13 and 21 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 37 degrees and a northwest wind around 8 mph.

3. Adopt a Friend: Five local children created a jingle to help the encourage families to adopt a dog or cat this holiday season instead of purchasing one from a pet store or puppy mill. They participated in several workshops with teacher Matt Cook at , a school in Fair Haven that offers a variety of creative classes including writing, art, music and acting. Their hard work and creativity went into the production of a 30-second jingle about adopting pets from the SPCA. Click to read more about the project and listen to the jingle.

5. Get Fit For a Cause: is hosting a Charity workout on Saturday, December 17th at Fair Haven Fields starting at 9AM.  The is donating the use of the Fields free of charge and the instructors are donating our time. The normal drop in rate of $20 will apply and ALL proceeds will go toward the cause of One World Women’s Health.
