Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:

1. Sun After the Storm: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 78 degrees. There is a northwest wind around 8 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees and a northwest wind between 6 and 8 mph. R-FH residents are thankful for this cooler weather since many are without power due to Hurricane Irene this past weekend.

2. Aftermath of Irene: Rumson and Fair Haven residents were out and about checking out the damage and the scene Sunday afternoon after Hurricane Irene pounded the area. Trees and power lines were down, there was flooding along the rivers and many residents still did not have power for over 12 hours. 3. Tiki Down: Employees are busy in "clean-up mode" at Donovan’s Reef in Sea Bright while customers lay-out on the beach this sunny Monday after  came through just two nights ago. The only damage that was sustained to the beach bar was complete loss of the tiki  bar, loss of a couple satellite bars and a loss of palm trees. Donovan's is open for customers and will be throughout the Labor Day Weekend. Click to see photos of the damage.

4. Powerless: More than 600,000 Jersey Central Power & Light customers are without power in New Jersey, and a spokesman says it could be days before the lights come back on for those in communities hit hard by . Many people suffering with no power are right here in Rumson and Fair Haven leaving many businesses closed and residents with no lights . If you have not already reported an outage in your own home, JCP&L asks that you do so by calling 1-888-544-4877.

5. Fair Game: The Fair Haven Firemen's Fair is back on tonight, opening at 6:00 p.m. Many workers and volunteers spent the day Monday getting the rides up, food ready and grounds prepped for their reopening. The entire set-up had to be redone after being disassembled for Hurricane Irene this past weekend.
