5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 17

Keeping you updated on all that is happening in Rumson and Fair Haven.

1. Bulldog Blues : The Rumson Fair Haven High School Boy's Basketball game was  for tonight. The new home opener will be next Thursday, Dec. 23 at 6:30.

2. A Jazzy Holiday: The RFH Winter Concert was last night and it was a success. Over 100 people attended the show in the high school's auditorium. Keep checking back on Patch to see highlights from last night's performance. 

3. Christmas Carols: Nancy Scharff's "" concert is coming to the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank tonight. Joined by an Ecumenical Choir, Children's Choir, Gospel Choir, and other special guests, Nancy and her band will perform traditional and contemporary Christmas favorites, like "O Holy Night," "Joy to the World", and much more. Audience participation is always a highlight of the concert. Those attending are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for immediate assistance to the needy. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Love, INC., helping the poor by meeting immediate needs such as food and clothing and longer-term life skills, like training and housing. The concert is at 7:30pm

4. Something to Sing About: A non-profit organization has been established to begin preparing for the  of the incorporation of the Borough of Fair Haven. The committee is holding a meeting today, Dec. 17 at 4:00 pm in the lower level of Borough Hall.

5. Music and More: is coming to the Two River Theater. This classic family tale will be brought to like with adults, kids and puppets. This show will make for a great around the holidays. The show is playing 17-30 on select days at 7:00.
