Summer Dance and Fitness Programs for Kids at Fuel Fitness

PUTTING THE FUN BACK IN DANCE! 

Fuel’s healthy kids' programs for summer are here!

Are you sick of traveling hours every weekend, sitting in endless recitals sacrificing precious family time and having the endless expenses of hotels & costumes but still want your children to have the fun and fitness? 

We are thrilled have added added a whole new children’s dance and fitness program lead by former NJ Nets dancer Margot McCray-Gough (dance) and myself, Jennifer Kane.

Kids Summer Class Schedule June 29-August 9, 2014
  • Family Zumba: Tuesdays at 10 am - this is a drop-in class available to everyone. Also, class packages are available in the studio and online prices range from $13-20 per class.
  • Kids Dance: ages 8-13 Wednesdays at 10 am this is a 6 week session class for $79, $20 for a drop in class.
  • Kids “A Taste of Fitness:” Thursdays at 10 am - this is for kids 8-13 offering a different class each week (yoga, TRX, pilates, cardio, ballet barre). Also, this is a 6 week session for $79, $20 for a drop in.
Children’s Dance Instructor
Margot McCray-Gough, Prior owner of MTM Dance Factory in Atlantic Highlands, has taught and choreographed for many dance institutions throughout NJ. She has choreographed for many dance competitions, benefits and special events. Margot's dance training includes Red Bank Regional Vocational Performing Arts, Governor's School of the Arts of NJ, SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory and Montclair State University as Dance Major. 

Margot continued her dance education in NYC and was selected as a NBA NJ Nets Dance Team member. In addition she has appeared on MTV and danced for such artists as Gloria Gaynor, George Lamond and Duane Harding. In the fitness world, Margot has taught Dance Cardio for over 10 years. 

She is Zumba and Zumba Gold certified. She currently teaches Zumba and other dance classes at several gyms and dance studios and having A BLAST!!!!

Children’s Fitness Teachers
Jennifer Kane, the owner of Fuel Fitness, has been an athlete all of her life she has turned working out into an enjoyable part of everyday life. 

Realizing that staying fit can become more difficult over the years, she likes to mix up her workouts (making them fun, safe and interesting) which results in her motto, "get fit, not injured" by achieving her goals without injuries.

Certification include: ISSA Personal Trainer, NESTA Group Exercise Instructor, Spencer Pilates Certification,American Red Cross CPR andAqualogix Aquatics Training Certification.

Stacy Rosshas been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for 7 years. The former owner of Fair Haven Yoga, Stacy believes yoga and yogic principles should be a part of everyone’s life. She loves teaching kids and adults how to incorporate yoga into their individual lifestyles and exercise regimens. 

Stacy’s favorite parts of teaching are watching the transformation of a student from the beginning to the end of a class, and welcoming them back the next time. 

Also an avid runner, and member of the Jersey Shore Tri-Gals, Stacy’s favorite part of living in this area is being part of such an outdoor oriented, health conscious community. She is the mother of 3 teenagers and lives in Fair Haven.

Carrie Marxen has been teaching Group Fitness classes part time since 1990 while working in the City and living in Hoboken. Starting with Step and Body Conditioning, she loved putting classes together with great music. Being close to New York gave her access to top instructors who inspired her to challenge her participants and be creative with choreography. 

Her style has evolved, as the fitness industry has, and when she moved to Fair Haven she took on Spinning, Pilates and Boot camp classes. As barre classes have become popular over the years, she has used her Pilates background to develop her own barre workout and become Booty Barre certified. 

She has also a certified Personal Trainer. She loves when her students smile while they sweat, tell her how good they feel after a workout and come back week after week. Carrie's motto: exercise because you love it-not because you have to! Her certifications include AFAA, NSCA-CPT, Booty Barre, Power Pilates, TRX and Madd Dogg Athletics.
