Moose's Tavern Replaces Charlie Brown's

The restaurant, which serves tavern fare like burgers and steaks, opened on Monday.

Moose's Tavern opened on Monday night where long-vacant former Charlie Brown's restaurant sat in Tinton Falls.

The chain steakhouse had been vacant since 2010. Now, Moose's, located at 1202 Sycamore Ave., offers traditional tavern fare — like classic burgers and prime rib — as well as some more creative dishes like boneless shortribs served with mozzarella on a pretzel roll, according to the restaurant's Web site.

The tavern celebrated its official grand opening on Monday, March 4, with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Tinton Falls Mayor Michael Skudera and Administrator Gerry Turning.
