LAST CHANCE: Fromagerie Burger Night

It has become the "thing to do" if you want to catch up with friends and grab a bite in the Rumson-Fair Haven area — Burger Night at the Fromagerie.

It’s not every day that for $25 you can get a gourmet burger meal, a salad and a cocktail paired with music and good company at in Rumson — just Tuesdays.

And tonight is no exception. It’s Tuesday; and, that means it’s Burger Night in the Bar Room at the Fromagerie from 5 to 10 p.m. Pretty much everyone knows about it. Many have made it a regular social night.

But, in case you didn’t know the details, here’s a refresher:

For $25 in the upstairs lounge at the restaurant, patrons can get, for starters, a glass of house wine or beer, a Rocket Arugula Salad, with radicchio, endive, fontina cheese and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Then there’s the burger main course.

The choices are: a classic David Burke burger (with cheddar, lettuce tomato and onion on an English muffin with sea salt fries), Iceburger (iceberg lettuce as the bun, maple bacon and blue cheese dressing), a roasted mushroom burger (with gruyere cheese and sea salt fries), chicken parm sliders on focaccia or a Beach Burger (a shrimp burger with Caesar dressing for an extra $6).

There are side orders available for $6 more and an a la carte dessert menu, with items for $12 each extra.

There’s no extra charge for the music and socializing.
