Fair Haven's Handmade Haven Opens Just in Time for Santa's Visit

New store features all hand-made items.

They cut the ribbon on a new Fair Haven store, Handmade Haven, just in time for Santa's arrival.

The store, at 812 River Road, features all locally hand-made items, Mayor Ben Lucarelli, who was there to cut the ribbon at about 4 p.m., said.

The borough is ushering in the holiday season, according to tradition, this evening. It all starts with Santa arriving via firetruck at 5 p.m. at Memorial Park on River Road. That will be followed by the tree lighting at 6 p.m., music and then a new  holiday stroll through the business district.

There will be snacks and warming stations along the way. The mayor says the new store is a great addition, just in time to take buying local and small business seriously.

Patch will feature photos of the holiday event later as well as some pics of the new store and merchandise.
