Friday is also the deadline for businesses to be included in Web promotions for Pink Week. Don't need the Web inclusion? Then your deadline is April 23.
It's less than a month until and become for Paint the Town Pink. That's the time when residents and businesses are invited to swath their homes and workplaces in Pepto pink to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Riverview Medical Center runs the annual event now in its sixth year. To boost engagement Riverview will run a contest to see who can out pink their neighbors from May 4 through May 12.
Each participating home will receive a Paint the Town Pink Starter Kit to get the pink creativity flowing. Residents can either decorate their houses using the starter kit, or can enter the house decorating contest and put their creativity to the test. In past years, residents have wowed us with some unique pink decorations and survivor tributes.
