No Sour Notes with the Fuzzy Lemons

Rumson's Family Fun Nights Continues with a free concert at Victory Park featuring the Fuzzy Lemons.

The Fuzzy Lemons rolled into Rumson’s on Sunday night and had the kids rocking around the gazebo.

Last night was the third concert in the Family Fun Night series, a program that is sponsored by the Mayor Ekdahl and the Rumson Recreation Council.

The Fuzzy Lemon’s are a family friendly rock group that is based out of Hoboken, NJ. This is the second year the Fuzzy Lemons have played in Victory Park.

Their songs have memorable melodies and amusing lyrics. They get the whole crowd moving and shaking. They are a talented band that uses a variety of instruments. There was a great saxophone solo and even some mandolin playing.

In addition to great instrumentals, The Fuzzy Lemon’s have laugh out loud lyrics that both parents and children can relate to. “Baby Brother Blues” is a song about a little brother who breaks all the toys. Another song “Skunks in my Shoes” had the kids laughing and smelling their feet and “Girls Rock” had a lot of the moms fist pumping to the beat.

Kim Giblin of Rumson said, “I love watching my son, Aiden, enjoy himself. He loves to dance and run around the gazebo with all the other kids.”

Although it was hot, the park still had a big crowd and the Italian Ice guy provided delicious relief for everyone.

If you haven’t seen any of the concerts yet there is just one left. The Little Rockers of Red Bank will be the last show on August 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
