In Red Bank: Virtual HEADS Tour

If you've walked through downtown Red Bank recently, you've likely noticed the influx of eight-foot-tall portraits hung on the sides of buildings. The abstract portraits are part of , a public art display that officially opens on Sunday.

Curated by the New Jersey Museum of Contemporary Art (NJMOCA), HEADS is the work of Romanian artist Dumitru Gorzo. The 50 large-scale portraits focus on expressive, allegorical, strange, satirical and futuristic heads, according to NJMOCA. 

Though the official show runs Sunday through Oct. 14, you're more than welcome to check the portraits out in advance just by walking downtown.

The portraits are hung on buildings on Monmouth Street, White Street, and West Front Street. Check out the photo captions above for a virtual tour of HEADS and use the posted addresses to plan your own in-person tour.
