Whipporwill Valley Road, Cooper Road...Are They Really Haunted?

Do you have a story to tell about driving on the meandering roads in Chapel Hill?

An article by Weird NJ, published in the Asbury Park Press, describes the oft-told tales of strange encounters on two of Middletown Township's long, tranquil wooded roads in the Chapel Hill section of Middletown.

There is no shortage of Youtube videos in which teen drivers narrate the stories with a camera mounted on the dashboard while they navigate the dirt road portions in the dark or in the rain. Some Middletown high schoolers even did their version of a Blair Witch Project treatment on location.

For some locals, the most disturbing thing associated with Whipporwill is that it was where the body of Nancy Clark of Fair Haven was found, following her brutal murder in 1982.

What are your experiences driving on Whipporwill Valley and Cooper Roads?
