Throwback Thursday: Parade of Vamps

A look back at Halloween in the mid-1980s.

The Halloween season is upon us.

All sorts of people are poised to march in parades.

In the mid-1980s, a group of make-up artists dubbed Faces Unlimited, that worked out of the Costume Shop on a Red Bank side street.

On this year, in this Red Bank Halloween parade pictured, the artists from the shop all sported tailor-made vampire fangs and specialty make-up at the hands of  one another. They scared quite a few people, making them scatter and roll down hills along the parade route with a hiss or two.

Do you know what year it was and who is in this photograph? Scared of them? You should be. Did you have a make-up job done by one of these artists? Tell us about it and/or send us your make-up photo at elaine.develde@patch.com.

Oh, and Happy Halloween! Scared o' you!
