Some ambitious gardeners in Fair Haven have been bestowed with Random Acts of Beauty awards.
The Garden Club of Fair Haven went on a trek through town recently hunting for garden plots, businesses and the front and side yards of homes that have colorful, attractive flowers and horticulture.
They found quite a few that fit the outstanding garden bill and decided to let the gardeners know that their random acts of beauty had not gone unnoticed.
So, they gave them all the aptly named awards and the mayor and council recognized them with a proclamation at its Tuesday night meeting.
"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Mayor and Council and the Garden Club of Fair Haven wish to recognize these residents, businesses and garden plot owners for making Fair Haven a beautiful place to be," the proclamation said.
