R-FH Graduate Named Nieman Fellow

Blair Kamin earned the prestigious fellow honor for journalism at Harvard University

Blair Kamin, native Fair Havenite and graduate of , has been selected as a Nieman Fellow for Journalism at Harvard University.

Blair, son of longtime Fair Haven residents, Arthur and Virginia, is the architecture critic at the Chicago Tribune and a 1999 Pulitzer Prize winner.             

He is among 24 journalists from the United States and abroad who make up the 75th class of Nieman fellows. The group includes journalists who work across all media platforms as reporters, editors, radio and television broadcasters, photojournalists and digital media pioneers.

Announcing the class, Nieman Foundation curator Ann Lipinski said, "This is an outstanding group of journalists poised to have  a growing influence on their news organizations and on journalism more broadly. They represent a wide range of interests and backgrounds but share an intense commitment to using their year at Harvard to gain new knowledge, strengthen their work and enhance the prospects for journalism overall."            

Blair Kamin is a graduate of Amherst College and the Yale School of Architecture. He has been inducted into the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School Alumni Hall of Fame.
