Peddling Girl Scout Cookies for a Cause

Boxes of cookies can be donated to the troops.

It's that time of the year — Girl Scout cookie time.

The scouts are out and selling those cookies. But there are a couple of Fair Haven scouts who have an extra mission in mind.

Sarah Neczesny and Avery Pawlak, of Fair Haven's Girl Scout Juniors Troop 1220 are not only selling cookies, but giving buyers an option to donate boxes of the classic goodies to the troops overseas missing this slice of Americana.

Sarah and Avery have each set a personal goal of 100 boxes to be donated to 4th division of the 227th Airborne Platoon. So, they're reminding people to ask about the option and boost the donations to the cause.
