Out in Red Bank with The Girls

Girls Night Out was a success.

"This was so much fun. We definitely have to do it again next year."

That's what a woman smiling and giggling and loaded down with packages could be heard saying to her gal pals as they left The Galleria having apparently had a great night at Red Bank Girls Night Out.

"Just Denise from Red Bank and friends" was how she identified herself as Patch grabbed a photo of the happy trio. "We just got facials and it was wonderful," she added.

The 5 to 9 p.m. event, in it's second year, featured discouts for the ladies from participating restaurants and shops in both the east and west side business districts.

And as the girls roamed around town, they were entertained by StreetLife performers and took advantage of all the specials. Their registration made them eligible for prizes, the grand daddy of all being a huge package worth about $700 that included a hotel stay, jewelry, entertainment and more.

About 70 registered at The Galleria, which was one of three sign-in stops, said Amanda Lynn, promotions manager for RiverCenter, which sponsored the event. And between the other two stops, there were probably a couple hundred, she said.

"It was great," Lynn added. "We had a lot of women out tonight all through town and they all seemed to have a great time."
