Newsworthy: What's the Story in R-FH?

Phew! What a weekend in the R-FH area.

It all started with . Then there was the .

The weather was beautiful for both. Now, moving into Tuesday, word has it that the weather is going to take a hot turn. That’s another excuse to stay inside at peak heat hours and read Patch.

This week we have some leftovers to feature. Yes, leftovers. But they’re good leftovers.

It’s what we didn’t get to last week …

• In honor of post-graduation and prom mentality, we will feature a call-out to you R-FH grads of days gone by for prom and graduation pics. We will also want to know what your favorite yearbook quote was from when R-FH featured quotes along with senior pics.

• We will also feature a story on , the native Fair Havenite who just opened her own pilates studio.

• The private road issue still has a strong news undercurrent. The question: Who should pay for the roads’ repairs? It’s a timeless issue that we’ll be following.

What’s new …

• Rumson is planning on having its first St. Patrick’s Day parade in 2013. We’ll be checking in with the resident who’s been leading the pack on that idea for some time now.

• Holy Cross’ teacher Bernadette Davis will not be returning next year and it’s caused a firestorm among parents. A protest last week set the stage. We have been trying to get answers from school officials, but no one has returned calls yet. Some parents have emailed us and we’re going to see who would like to talk on the record.

• For our What’s Cookin’ column, you never know what we’ll cook up. It could be food … it could be something or someone unique in town.

• And, since we’re technically still in centennial mode, we will be featuring another Now and Then column based on the archives of the Red Bank Register.

• Also watch for some photo galleries featuring sites unique to the Rumson-Fair Haven area.
