Local Chef to Highlight ‘Food For Thought Program’

Chef David Burke will dish on how to master the art and business of the Culinary Arts at Monmouth County Library's Food for Thought, What's On Your Plate Festival on Sunday, March 4.

The Monmouth County Library’s Main Branch in Manalapan will be transformed into a food festival this weekend with the new, 'Food for Thought, What's On Your Plate' program. This weekend’s festival will feature keynote Celebrity Chef David Burke of .

As an accomplished chef, Burke’s credentials include seven restaurants, worldwide consulting engagements, television appearances, and philanthropic activities in addition to his passion for creativity and cuisine. Burke will be sharing insight and discussing the future of the food industry as well as other topics. After his presentation, audience members will be able to ask Burke questions during a question and answer session.

According to a press release, in addition to Burke, presentations with rising star chef Chloe Rosen and Lynne Bugal of Jon Bon Jovi’s Soul Kitchen in Red Bank will take place. Local businesses and organizations like Sickles Market, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s, Monmouth County Historical Society, Master Gardeners of Monmouth County, 4-H of Monmouth County, Rook Coffee Roasters, CentraState, Herbertsville Honey Company, Rutgers University Department of Nutrition Sciences and gluten-free diet expert Katie Strakosch will also be present at the event.
