Fair Haven's Sign of Olympic Pride

When the news hit July 2 that , the 21-year-old’s hometown residents hopped into action to rise to the occasion in a show of pride and support.

Comments flooded the Fair Haven Facebook page, everyone was talking everywhere and the marquee on the firehouse quickly changed from a Fourth of July message to a congratulatory one for Jaeger.

The 2010 Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School graduate and on the final (eighth) day of U.S. Olympic Trials in Nebraska secured his spot in the summer Olympics in London when he came in second in the 1,500 meter freestyle swimming event Monday night.

Patch got a few shots of the firehouse marquee on River Road. There must be more around town. We plan to make the rounds and post photos of any Connor Jaeger congratulations.
