Fair Haven National Night Out To Feature Dunk Tank, Bounce House, McGruff

The event is scheduled for August 5.

On Tuesday, August 5, the Fair Haven Police Department will hold the 12th annual National Night Out, starting at 5 p.m. at the Youth Center behind police headquarters.  

The event is an effort to connect police with the community. 

At the beginning of the event, a MONOC Air Medic Unit helicopter will come in for a landing on the fields behind the police station.

Fun events are planned, such as: 

  • A dunk tank, sponsored by the Foundation of Fair Haven
  • An inflatable Dalmation 5-in-1 Bounce House, sponsored by the Fair Haven Fire Department
  • An inflatable gaming tent housing four separate games sponsored by the Fair Haven First Aid Squad
  • A karate demonstration presented by Fair Haven Martial Arts
  • A K-9 demonstration featuring Monmouth County Sheriff's Officer Kurt Kroeper and K-9 Skye; and Sheriff's Officer Anthony Muscarella with K-9 Nanook
  • A demonstration by the Academy of Music and Drama
  • McGruff the Crime Dog will make a guest appearance
  • Target of Middletown will be on location with giveaways and will have drawing  for several of their big items.  
  • Complimentary food and beverages will be served along with drawings for prizes donated from local businesses.
