The Newcomers Club Raises over $25,000 for Sea Bright Rising

The Newcomers Club of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver and Shrewsbury raised $25,775 for Sea Bright Rising, The Club's 2013-2014 designated charity. Sea Bright Rising is a non-profit organization devoted to the relief of the displaced residents and general recovery of the town of Sea Bright as a result of the devastation created by Hurricane Sandy.

The Club hosted three main fundraising events throughout the year. These events included, “Touch a Truck” family fun day, “A Toast to the Town” wine and beer tasting and “Lucky Name” chance auction. 100% of the proceeds from all three events were donated to Sea Bright Rising.

The Newcomers Club officially presented a check of the total money raised to Chris Wood, founder of Sea Bright Rising, on May 21st at the Club's annual President's Luncheon, held at Fromagerie in Rumson.
