Monmouth Medical Center Hosts Second Annual Peace of Mind Event, September 11, Maintaining Brain Health as We Age

Monmouth Medical Center is holding the Second Annual Monmouth Peace of Mind event titled Maintaining Brain Health As We Age on Wednesday, September 11 beginning at 5 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, located at 700 Hope Road in Tinton Falls.

During the free event, Monmouth Medical Center experts will discuss common brain disorders and offer an overview of the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment and therapies of sleep and memory disorders.

Topics and speakers include: “Memory Disorders,” by internist Jessica Israel, M.D., interim chair of medicine and section chief of geriatric medicine and palliative medicine, and neurologist Neil Holland, M.D., section chief of neurology and medical director of the Neuroscience Institute at Monmouth Medical Center; and “Sleep Disorders,” by sleep specialist Robert Kosinski, M.D., section chief of sleep medicine and medical director of the Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Center, and neurologist Matthew Davis, M.D., neurology director of the Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Center.

This event will feature free health screenings for memory, sleep apnea and blood pressure, health information tables, door prizes and giveaways. Doors open at 5 p.m., and light dinner will be provided at 5:45. Presentations will begin at 6 p.m.
