Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates Joins Barnabas Health Medical Group

Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates recently announced it has joined Barnabas Health Medical Group, part of Barnabas Health, the largest not-for-profit integrated health care delivery system in New Jersey and one of the largest in the nation.

Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates is the medical practice of Seth Cohen, M.D., a board-certified internal medicine physician and medical oncologist; Rosemary P. Fiore, M.D., PhD, board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology; Debra Ray, M.D., board certified in internal medicine, hematology, oncology and geriatrics; and David Sharon, M.D.,  board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.

As a member of Barnabas Health Medical Group, Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates offers patients access to state-of-the-art oncology research, including biological treatments, monoclonal antibodies and an array of clinical trials. The partnership has also enabled the practice to expand its support services to include a full-time pharmacist, social worker and nurse navigator to further ensure comprehensive, accessible care for all patients.

“By joining Barnabas Health Medical Group and the Barnabas Health network, Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates is reconfirming the practice’s commitment to clinical excellence – including its 30-year tradition of offering the most current techniques and research, combining compassionate care with leading-edge treatments,” said Dr. Cohen.

The practice will also benefit from leading cancer prevention, detection and treatment services through its affiliation with the Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical Center, which is led by medical director and Monmouth Hematology Oncology Associates practice member Dr. Sharon. As part of the Penn Cancer Network, the Leon Hess Cancer Center provides access to Penn’s extensive clinical trials program, specialists and technology.
