Picture yourself rowing. Then give it a try at the Navesink River Rowing Open House on Saturday, May 10. The event, which is free and open to the public, features site tours, demonstrations on land, mini-lessons on the water and an opportunity to sign up for adult learn-to-row classes, boat use memberships or an array of popular summer youth programs. Activities run continuously from 9 am to 1 pm on the NRR site at the end of Maple Ave (off Front St) in Red Bank. NRR rowers of all ages and backgrounds will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions.
