Happy snowy Tuesday, friends and fans!
Well, happy if you're careful or not stuck somewhere you don't want to be or can't get somewhere you need to be. Never mind.
If you can get around, or not, here's what's going on around the towns today ...
• There's a Sandy Fraud Task Force forum in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown hosted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
County officials will be joined by Volunteer Lawyers for Justice at the Bayshore Activity Center (Seabrook-Wilson House, better known as the Spy House), 719 Port Monmouth Rd. from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., according to a release from Acting Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
The release details the following:
Attorneys from Volunteer Lawyers for Justice’s Disaster Legal Response Program will be available to consult with locals and provide free legal advice. Those needing further assistance may be referred to volunteer outside counsel — organizers note financial eligibility requirements apply.
Also scheduled to attend are the Monmouth County Department of Consumer Affairs, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Internal Revenue Service, New Jersey Division of Taxation, Department of Homeland Security and other agencies.
The Monmouth County Superstorm Sandy Fraud Task Force can be contacted at 855-SANDY-39, and Volunteer Lawyers for Justice may be reached at 855-301-2525.
• If you're stuck indoors, read up on Patch and check out some of the interesting items for sale on Patch's Buy/Sell/Trade Board, such as a living room set, a dresser and other furniture, a Vermont-style farmhouse doll house, and a fooseball table.
