Rumson Concert & BOE Meetings on Tap

It's what's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area on Wednesday.

Happy Wednesday, friends and fans!

It's a busy day for the Rumson-Fair Haven area. Who made it to the winter concerts in Fair Haven schools? Send us your photos at elaine.develde@patch.com and we'll be happy to post them.

Rumson officials are trying to get the Oxford House residents ousted immediately while they wait to have the matter heard in court. See our story.

And the family of the fatally injured Tour de Fair Haven cyclist, Cole Porter, has filed a notice of suit against the borough for $10 million.

Around the towns today …

• The Rumson schools concert is set for today at 1:30 p.m. Send your photos for our gallery.

• Also, tonight at 7:30 p.m. both the Fair Haven and Rumson boards of education meet at the Knollwood School Media Center and Higgins Library at Forrestdale, respectively.

Weather, sun, moon and tides …

• Oh, it looks like the frightful weather is taking a turn toward the mild. It's supposed to hit high temperatures in the 40s by tomorrow and the 60s by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

• To check out the phase of the moon, when it and the sun rise and set and more tidbits click here.

We have a couple of features coming, including one on the Fair Haven Volunteer of the Year and a bit of good open space news.

Until then, I'll see you around the towns …
