Koch Movie, Meeting News, More

It's what's happening in the Rumson-Fair Haven area Wednesday.

We made it through the rain, R-FH friends and fans! I know, pretty bad. I just had to say it.

Well, now that we've been cooped up from the soppy soaking of yesterday, it's time to get out, if you can. It's supposed to be very

sunny today with a high near 77 degrees, according to my buddy the weather troll.

So it's mild weather for those who want to hit the beach and/or do some recreating in the water. Here's the tide table for Sea Bright today through sunrise tomorrow:

2013-08-14  6:06 AM EDT   Sunrise
2013-08-14  6:57 AM EDT   First Quarter
2013-08-14  8:40 AM EDT   0.36 feet  Low Tide
2013-08-14  3:19 PM EDT   3.56 feet  High Tide
2013-08-14  7:54 PM EDT   Sunset
2013-08-14  9:50 PM EDT   0.52 feet  Low Tide
2013-08-15  3:40 AM EDT   3.01 feet  High Tide
2013-08-15  6:07 AM EDT   Sunrise

Last we were at the Fair Haven Dock, the kids were catching some crabs, finally. Maybe it's time to check back in with the crabby ones.

As far as activities go in the R-FH area, Congregation B'nai Israel, Rumson, is hosting a showing of the movie Koch, a documentary about the former Mayor Ed Koch, at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for congregation members and $15 for non-members and includes a hot dog and fixins. Register at www.cbirumson.org or call 732-842-1800.

There's more news from the Fair Haven meeting coming up. And, yes, we have a special video coming to the site as well.

Let us know if we've missed anything in the comments section below and stay tuned for some surprise mobile app posts.

In the meantime, caption the photo of the day featured (I know, I won't hold my breath). But, give it a shot … please. There must be a comedian or someone with a good imagination in this R-FH land somewhere.

And, with that, I'll see you around the towns …
