All About LEGOs, Business & Heroin

It's what's going on in the Rumson-Fair Haven area on Tuesday.

Happy Tuesday, friends and fans!

Well, it looks like today is going to be all about LEGOs, shows, business and a talk about the Monmouth County heroin abuse epidemic.

Around the towns today …

Events

• The LEGO Club meets at the Oceanic Library in Rumson at 3:30 p.m. to build castles. Hmmmm … now that sounds like a project for royalty — or just your average creative sort.

• Monmouth County Library in Shrewsbury will host a Wind in the Willows reading and LEGO event catering to children from 3:45 to 5 p.m.

News

• Did you happen to see the moon last night? Well, some kids caught a glimpse of it at the Fair Haven Dock last night and were quite wowed. Very cute. They rallied troops to come and take a look and we followed … and took a picture. Take a look.

• We will be featuring a story and video on last night's presentation at RFH about heroin and it's spike in use, abuse and its potency. It's a pervasive problem that knows no boundaries, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni stressed. We'll also have some startling statistics. Whether or not you were there, you may want to review the information.

• Ah, and Goldtinker in Rumson is closing after 32 years. Check out our story on that and get over there for the sale.

• We'll also be previewing the fall show at RFH, so take a look later.

Weather, sun, moon and tides …

• Looks like it's going to be a little windy and sunny today with temperatures reaching a high in the low 50s.
• And, check out your sun, moon and tide information from www.tides4fishing.com:

In the meantime, I'll see you around the towns …
