Red - A Girlfriends' Valentine Luncheon
The annual Red - A Girlfriends’ Luncheon, to benefit Monmouth County Historical Association, will be held on Thursday, February 7th at the Rumson Country Club from 11am– 2pm. A sold-out event last year, over 200 ladies are expected to attend and enjoy lunch, boutique shopping, chance raffles, and a display of porcelain tea pots from the museum’s collection.
Event Chair Lynn Spector says “Now more than ever history matters. What better way to celebrate the friendships you value while supporting an important cause; Monmouth County Historical Association.” A “chocolate chance” raffle offers three chances to win and will add to the fun. Boutique vendors will offer a range of items from jewelry to pajamas, to furs. Vendors include: Emily Faith Collection (from California), Faye Kim Designs, Reilly & Me, Rugs by Anita, Sequin, Simply Fabulous Accessories, Sugs Jewelry, The Vanderbilt Gallery, The Veranda, Winters Furs, and more.
RED also features a silent auction with donations from each vendor plus additional packages from local and NYC businesses.
A lovely selection of 18th and early 19th century tea pots from the extensive ceramic collection of the Association will be on view during the annual Red Luncheon. Approximately 15 teapots dating from circa 1740 to 1830, from England, Holland, and China will reveal the amazing diversity in design, color, decoration, and creativity of potters from around the world
