I absolutely LOVE vegetables and fruits in the prime of their season. Heirloom tomatoes are just there as we finish our summer.
You can make this recipe TONIGHT; and, by showing you how to make a simple and healthy salad, you'll get to enjoy the fruits of these dog days. Yes, dinner CAN be that easy: watch for more!
Would love to hear your thoughts, accompaniments and additions, so feel free to comment!
Good luck!

Heirloom tomatoes are great, but their local season is limited. Year-round, try substituting grape tomatoes in your favorite recipes - esp. in tomato sauces. (You don't just open jars or cans, right?) Grape tomatoes have a more intense flavor than the big guys.

Hi Peter! Thanks for your comment. Yes, sadly, the season for heirloom tomatoes is very short. Cherry or any tomato variety throughout the year can make a great substitute option. Absolutely make sure those tomatoes are FRESH! I never cook from a can or jar! Cooking can be just as easy with fresh ingredients as with jars/cans (sometimes even easier!). Happy Cooking!
