Baby It's COLD Outside!
Wow, how the weather has changed!
After having a month of above-normal temperatures, winter set in with a vengeance, giving us below-zero wind chill temperatures for the last three days.
We had a dusting of snow, and there were frozen spots on the driveway. Both of our dogs walked a lot faster on their morning and evening walks. We started seeing some freezing along the banks of the Navesink River (see attached photo).
After all, it IS wintertime, and these are the kind of temperatures we should expect at this time of year. It’s great living in an area where we have four distinct seasons, and as long as you dress properly the cold shouldn’t be a problem.
And the beautiful, crisp clear night sky is wonderful!
Don’t you love looking up and seeing Orion’s belt clearly visible in the night sky? On nights like this I wish we didn’t have so much light pollution so we could see even more stars.
