Fiona, 7, and Michael, 5, accompanied their dad Brian Crean, a member of the club. The family lives in Ocean.

From work boats to hovercrafts, Saturday was all about the wooden boat at a vintage boat festival held at Long Branch Ice Boat & Yacht Club.

Warm sunshine and fair winds welcomed crowds of boat lovers as they got up close and personal with Jersey Speed Skiffs, runabouts, sailing dingies, ice boats and even a steam engine boat.

Entrants came from all over the state, with the Two River Area well represented. Patch spotted Rumson's Jeff Morton and his classic runabout, Little Silver's Greg Strand and his Jersey Speed Skiff and Red Bank's John Holin with the Rocket A-1 iceboat. Also on hand were members of The Navesink Maritime Heritage Association.

Were you there leaving finger prints in the varnish of those gleaming wooden crafts? Then upload your photos to this story.
