Rumson Eighth-Grader Fundraising for Breast Cancer Cause
Abigail Kelly to sell breast cancer awareness t-shirts at football games
For eight-grader Abigail Kelly, the topic of breast cancer awareness hits close to home. She has family fighting the fight.
Now in its second year, Abigail, a Rumson resident who is a student at St. James School in Red Bank, will be holding her “Go Pink or Go Home” t-shirt and bake goods fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 14, starting at 9 a.m. during the Rumson-Fair Haven Youth Football games at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School's Borden Stadium.
Abigail will be selling the t-shirts she designed to raise funds for breast cancer awareness.
She has enlisted the help of Firehouse Specialty Shop, Red Bank, in designing the t-shirts and hopes to sell out.
The shirts will be sold for $15 each and pink bracelets will be sold for $1, with all proceeds benefitting The Beauty Foundation, Red Bank.
The Beauty Foundation assists local families affected by breast cancer by easing the financial strain by helping to cover the costs of things not covered by health insurance.
