Outdoor Dining Approved for Tavolo Pronto

The Fair Haven Council unanimously passed a resolution to allow Tavolo Pronto to have a Sidewalk Café permit.

Tavolo Pronto patrons will now be able to enjoy their coffee, sandwiches, salads, pizza, and dinners outdoors.

On April 23, the Fair Haven Council unanimously agreed to approve a Sidewalk Café Permit for the restaurant. According to Mayor Benjamin Lucarelli the request for outdoor dining was looked into by the town’s zoning officer and an inspection was made prior to Monday's meeting.

“We are looking to promote outdoor dining at all of our restaurants that are capable and have the area to do it,” said Lucarelli.

Tavolo Pronto Owners Arturo and Patti Balderas were present at the Council meeting. Prior to the vote, Councilman Jerome A. Koch addressed the audience.

“The privilege of having a sidewalk café comes with an obligation to keep it clean. It is very important to keep clean all during the day.”

Tavolo Pronto is currently open for business between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

I'm all for it great, but I have seen tables outside and people eating way before any kind of approval was given at a few places around town
