Harding Road Accident Victim Dies
The 19-year-old Fair Haven resident was struck by a car early Friday morning.
The pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the early morning hours of April 6 on Harding Road in Little Silver has died, according to police.
Fair Haven resident Jillian Dinger, 19, was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune following the accident near Alderbrook Road at 3:15 a.m. on Friday and did not survive, according to a release from Little Silver Police Chief Daniel Shaffery.
Dinger was struck by a 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Robert Post, 53, also of Fair Haven. No charges have been issued to the driver, according to police.
The accident remains under investigation pending toxicology reports and an inspection of the vehicle this week.
The Monmouth County Serious Accident Analysis Response Team responded and assisted police at the scene.

My heart and prayers go out to the family. I know first hand what exactly they are going through. My father was tragically struck and killed on the Parkway last year. May God bless them and give them the strength each and every day to get through the day. There is nothing easy going forward, but may they be guided and know they have a very special angel up above.
