Down at the Fair Haven dock it was a crisp, bright spring day on Saturday and music was in the air at the "Concert of the Century."

Starting at 4 p.m., three bands played at the end of the dock as people listened, tapped their toes, hummed along and got the perfect view of boaters and paddlers on the Navesink.

Patch caught some of the sights and sounds. Take a look at our photo gallery and video above.

If you have any photos you'd like to share, upload them right into our gallery or email them to us at elaine.develde@patch.com. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful time performing for "our" Fair Haven. Mr. Charlie Hoffman does a terrific job of coordinating the concerts annually as Director of Recreation.

The Band of the Two Rivers invites musicians of all ages from Fair Haven, Rumson, Red Bank and surrounding communities to join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 at the Fair Haven Youth Center on Fisk Street.

Our founding philosophy is that playing music is something you never outgrow. So even if you haven't played an instrument in years, we can help you get restarted.

As always it is a pleasure to play for the Borough of Fair Haven.

And don't forget those of us who never played as a kid are welcome too! I had only been playing a few years when the band welcomed me in! I didn't read very well at first and our talented group of musicians and our dedicated conductor, Don, encouraged me and made me believe I could do it! It's never too late to start! Kim Christman
