Fair Haven's Daniel Raphael had an idea.

He loves soccer and wanted to help displaced Sea Bright residents. So, dad Pat said, Daniel organized a soccer game last Sunday, set up a donation jar and asked for contributions to be forwarded to Sea Bright Rising.

Daniel called the charitable game "Soccer for Sea Bright."

The game "was a success," Pat said, and "he (Daniel) raised over $1,700 for Sea Bright Rising."

The money was sent to the organization and, feeling proud of his son's accomplishment and all the players' and participants' dedication to the cause, Pat sent Patch a couple of photos of the event.

In case you missed it, take a look.
