There will be a DWI checkpoint in the Acme parking lot on River Road in Fair Haven tonight through early Saturday morning.

From 11 p.m. tonight to 3 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Monmouth County DWI Task Force as well as the Fair Haven Police Department will direct drivers through the checkpoint to detect whether or not they are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, according to a released statement from the Task Force.

Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be subject to sobriety tests, it said.
