Hundreds of cyclists will race Fair Haven's streets Sunday for the fourth annual Tour de Fair Haven competition, featuring six races in a 1.7-mile enclosed course.
Cyclists will compete for $10,000 in prizes, and proceeds from the event benefit the Fair Haven Foundation. The race starts at 7 a.m. at the Fair Haven firehouse on River Road. For more information, visit www.tourdefairhaven.com.
Talented young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Ocean City Saturday night. The annual pageant is open to the public and scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier. Tickets at $15 are available at the Music Pier Box Office.
The Festival of the Sea Carnival, a southern Ocean County tradition, continues from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the St. Francis Community Center in Long Beach Township. Rides ($20 for unlimited access all night long), food, games, raffles and great food will highlight the offerings, on the grounds of St. Francis Church, 4700 Long Beach Boulevard.
