Sunday's Cycle into Tour de Fair Haven
A look at some of the scenes from the annual event
WhiiiiiiiiiiizzzzZZZZ! That was the sound that rang in onlookers' ears as cyclists raced past them at the start and finish line in front of the firehouse on River Road for the 2012 Tour de Fair Haven on Sunday.
The annual event attracted avid cyclists and pros from all over. This year, it was part of the borough's centennial celebration.
All proceeds from the race fund the year-long calendar of centennial events and Fair Haven bicycle safety programs. The borough is in the process of implementing a Complete Streets program, a state Department of Transportation initiative dedicated to making streets more pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly.
