Boat Accident in Sandy Hook Bay

A boat accident has been reported at Spermaceti Cove off of Sandy Hook.

 

Members of the United States Coast Guard have confirmed that there was a boat accident in the Spermaceti Cove section of Sandy Hook Bay.

Two victims were rescued from the water after two boats collided in Sandy Hook Bay around 1 p.m. The accident left one of the boats capsized, leaving the two people in the water.

The U.S. Coast Guard, along with the first aid squad from the Leonardo section of Middletown and members of the Atlantic Highlands EMS assisted in the rescue.

this is old but i listened to this on channel 16 coast guard radio the boat fliped by the seastreak 3 were in the water 2 boats 1 with 2 and the other with 1 victim got them to one of the atlantic highlands boat docks were ems picked them up i dont think the coast guard showed up the coast guard call came from NY although the sandy hook coast guard were notified the laungage they used seemed to indicate sense every one was safe they weren't needed only someone like a trooper was to determine who was at fault.
